SAKSHAM UTSAV 2026

A five-day national platform dedicated to empowering Persons with Disabilities, held at Putharikandam Maidanam in Chalai and organized by Sakshama Kerala, a Thiruvananthapuram-based nonprofit working on disability empowerment and inclusive-society development (based near Tagore Theatre). The utsav is built around bridging gaps in accessibility, employment and social inclusion by combining science, culture, enterprise and policy into one venue: it runs exhibitions of assistive technologies and accessibility solutions, seminars and stakeholder-networking forums connecting institutions and industry, cultural performances, skill-development sessions, and job fairs aimed at advancing workforce participation for PwDs. The organization behind it also runs an annual national seminar on inclusive India under the same Saksham banner, indicating this is a recurring, established initiative rather than a one-off.
