Create an account

• Sign up with your email and a password (at least 8 characters) or use Sign in with Google.

Verify your email

• We email you a verification link that's valid for 24 hours. Until you confirm it, you'll be held on a "verify your email" screen.
• Didn't get it, or it expired? Use Resend verification email. Google sign-ins are already verified.

Verify your phone

• We send a 6-digit code by SMS — it expires in 5 minutes (you get 5 tries, with a 60-second wait before resending).
• Phone verification becomes available after your email is verified.
• Code not showing up? Check your phone's SMS spam/blocked folder and your number's TRAI DND (Do Not Disturb) setting — DND can block transactional messages. Still nothing? Raise a support ticket and our team can verify your number manually.

Why verify?

• You need email + phone verified to buy and to post a listing. Verified email alone lets you browse and use the rest of the app.
• Forgot your password? Use Forgot password on the sign-in page for a secure reset link.

• Before buying or selling, you join your neighbourhood: pick your society or street from the list and enter your flat / house number (shown to the people you buy from or sell to, so neighbours can find each other). Both apartment societies and individual streets are supported — pick whichever matches where you live.
• If your society or street isn't listed yet, you can request that it be added through support.
• You'll be asked to accept our Terms of Use the first time. Our Privacy Policy and Refund & Dispute Policy are there for reference too.

• Browse the feed or search by keyword, and filter by category, price, item condition (new / used), and how you'd get it (delivery or pickup).
• Choose how far to look: just your own society/street or nearby ones within reach (a short distance, around 2 km).
• Sort by newest, price, popularity, rating or distance. You can hide sold-out items.
• Every listing page is public and shareable — you can send a link to a neighbour even before they sign in.

• Add items to your cart — it's saved to your account, so it follows you across your phone and computer.
• A listing only available in a different city from your home society can't be added to your cart at all. One that's further than your usual neighbourhood reach (but still your city) asks you to first confirm you've spoken to the seller and agreed how you'll get it.
• At checkout your cart is grouped by seller (see How you pay below for what happens next).
• Placing an order opens a chat thread with the seller — that's where you sort out next steps. Your 6-digit delivery code appears once the order is marked paid (see How you pay below).
• You must have a verified email and phone to check out.

• Track every order under Orders. Each shows its status and your delivery code.
• When you receive your item or service, share the 6-digit code with the seller — they enter it to confirm delivery. It's how both sides agree the order is complete.
• Never share your delivery code until you've actually received what you ordered.

• Pay the seller directly. Placing an order opens a chat with the seller — confirm the item or service is available, then pay them (cash / UPI, using their QR code if they've added one) before you collect or receive it. The seller marks it paid once they've received your payment — MemuniCity never collects or holds any money in the current setup.

Refunds, returns and any payment issues are sorted out directly with the seller in this setup.

• MemuniCity doesn't collect or hold any payment in the current setup, so refunds, returns and disputes are sorted out directly between you and the seller.
• If a seller isn't responding or something feels wrong, you can still raise a support ticket and our team will help — but the payment itself isn't something the platform can refund, since it never held it.

Not ready with your documents? Start selling anyway

• Tap "Defer KYC and continue" on the seller registration page to declare your intent to sell with no documents at all. You can start posting listings right away — they just won't be visible to buyers until your KYC is submitted and approved (see below).
• Submit your full KYC whenever you're ready, from the same page.

Submit your details (KYC)

• Provide your phone, full address and Aadhaar (number + document photo). No PAN or bank account is needed in the current setup, since you collect payment directly from buyers.
• Your documents are stored privately and securely; your ID numbers are never shown publicly. You'll accept the Seller Terms.
• Planning to sell food items? Tick "I intend to sell food items" to also submit your FSSAI (food safety) registration — number, expiry date and certificate photo. This is reviewed separately from the rest of your KYC, and you can add or update it any time from your seller details page.

Approval

• After you submit your KYC, your application is Pending review. We then approve you, or decline with a reason so you can fix it and resubmit.
• You can edit your seller details later. Changing your ID documents puts you back in review, but you stay live while we re-check.
• Your FSSAI registration is approved separately — you don't need it approved to sell non-food items, only before you can post a Food or Bakery listing. It's automatically deactivated once it expires, so renew and resubmit on time to keep those listings postable.

• Add a clear title, a description (at least 50 characters), price, category and photos.
• Set your reach (your society only, or nearby societies), your fulfilment (delivery / pickup / both), and how much is available (unlimited, a daily amount, or limited stock).
• Mark condition as new or used — used is allowed in resale-friendly categories (Toys, Books, Household).
• Food and Bakery listings need a current, approved FSSAI registration on file (see Becoming a seller) before you can post them.
• You can post listings as soon as you've declared intent to sell — even before your KYC is approved (see Becoming a seller). They're visible only on your own seller hub until your account is approved, then they appear in your neighbours' feed.
• Deactivate a listing any time to hide it from the feed (it stays in your seller hub).

• Service listings (tuition, nanny, house-help and the like) have bookable time-slots and a cadence — one-off, daily or monthly.
• One-off services are bought like a product. Daily / monthly services can be subscribed to: you authorise an auto-pay once, your seat is reserved, and you can cancel any time.
• Manage everything you're subscribed to under My Subscriptions.

• Your first 5 sales are free. After that, a monthly subscription plan keeps you selling.
• Plans are tiered by how much you sell per month — Starter, Growth, Pro and ProMax — so you only pay for the volume you need.
• There's no commission in the current setup — MemuniCity doesn't collect any payment, so nothing is deducted from what buyers pay you.

• Buyers pay you directly (cash / UPI) — MemuniCity never collects or holds any money, so there are no platform payouts and nothing to wait for.
• Your Seller Hub shows your earnings and payout status at a glance.

• After a purchase you can rate and review the listing and the person you dealt with — ratings appear on profiles and listings to build trust.
• Every order opens a 1:1 chat with the other person, with automatic notices (like order placed or refunded). You can archive old chats and filter to ones with open orders.

• Raise a support ticket any time from the contact form — pick the category that fits (orders, payments, account, adding your society, and more).
• Track replies and add details under My support tickets; replying reopens a closed ticket so we pick it back up.

• Your ID documents and numbers are kept private and never shown to other members.
• We record basic visit data (including IP and approximate location) to measure traffic and prevent abuse; raw IPs are deleted after 90 days. See the Privacy Policy.
• No one can ever "log in as you" — there's no impersonation feature. Keep your delivery codes and password to yourself.
