Bengalee Cultural Association Durga Puja

The Bengalee Cultural Association, founded in 1984 by Bengali settlers in Hyderabad and headquartered at Masab Tank, holds its annual Sarbojanin Durga Puja at Banjara Function Hall on Road No. 1, Banjara Hills, with the pandal decorated in a Nava Durga theme. The five-day celebration features fashion shows, theatrical performances and star-studded evenings with artists from Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi, alongside traditional rituals — Pushpanjali, Bhog Prasad and Sindur Khela — and a food and retail bazaar serving pani puri, biryani, ice cream and more. The association has grown well beyond the puja itself into a broader hub for Bengali cultural, literary and philanthropic activity in the city, drawing large mixed crowds from across Hyderabad's communities each Durga Puja season.
