United Way of Baroda Garba Mahotsav 2026

One of the world's largest Garba grounds — recognized in the Limca Book of Records — returns for its annual nine-night Navratri Mahotsav from October 11 to 19, 2026, at M M Patel Farm in Atladara. Running nightly from around 7 PM to midnight, the event has been organized since 1987 by United Way of Baroda, a nonprofit that channels proceeds toward underprivileged communities, and now draws 30,000-50,000 dancers a night (80,000-90,000+ across the festival) circling a central Durga idol. Noted Gujarati folk singer Atul Purohit has led the live music here for over two decades. Registration for participant/viewer passes opens online roughly two months ahead of Navratri.
