Ranihat Chandi Medha – Durga Puja

One of Cuttack's oldest Durga Puja mandaps, Ranihat's pandal stands on one of the city's busiest lanes yet is transformed every Puja into one of its biggest draws — a graceful Durga idol set against a massive silver-filigree (chandi medha) tableau, with the deity further adorned in gold as part of the citywide trend among Cuttack's heritage pandals. Giant illuminated light gates lead up to the mandap, and a small fair springs up in the surrounding lanes for the week, making Ranihat a fixture on any Cuttack pandal-hopping route alongside Chandni Chowk and Choudhury Bazar.
