Ganesh Chaturthi -- Pure Silver Ganesh Pandal, APIIC Grounds

Every year for Ganesh Chaturthi, the APIIC Grounds on RK Beach Road host one of Visakhapatnam's most-photographed pandals, built by Peerapu Kanaka Raju's Ganesh Utsav Committee -- known for record-breaking installations such as a chocolate Ganesha in 2023, an idol carved from leftover Ayodhya-temple stone in 2024, and a 2,000-kg pure silver Ganesha modelled on the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam temple in 2025. The 2026 Ganeshotsav begins with the idol's installation on Ganesh Chaturthi, September 14, and runs through the traditional ten-day festival of processions, cultural programs and community feasting on the beachfront, culminating in the Ganesh Visarjan immersion procession into the Bay of Bengal.
