ARDSICON'26, themed "Humanising Dementia Care: Youth, Innovation and Community Strength," is an international conference organised by the Alzheimer's and Related Disorders Society of India - Coimbatore Chapter (ARDSI-CC) in collaboration with Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science (KCLAS) and NIMHANS Bengaluru. Held at the Kumaraguru campus in Chinnavedampatti, the three-day programme opens with pre-conference workshops on community dementia-care settings, followed by a student hackathon with four challenge tracks on caregiver support and assistive technology, and oral paper presentations across ten thematic tracks covering clinical advances, psychological interventions, social work practice, technology innovation and workforce development. With dementia affecting an estimated 57 million people worldwide and over 60% of new cases arising in countries like India, the conference aims to bring together academics, clinicians, policymakers and youth innovators to build scalable, community-based care models.
