The South Madras Cultural Association marks its 48th Durgotsav at Mantra Gardens in Nandanam, beside the Kotturpuram bridge. Over the puja days the pandal offers the traditional rituals with Anjali, Sandhi Puja and Sindur Khela, a daily bhog, and what the organisers call a cultural bonanza of music, dance, drama, food and adda across the evenings.
