The Bengal Association Durga Puja 2026

The Bengal Association at 29 Giri Road, T Nagar, is the oldest Durga Puja in Chennai, now in its 90th year, and keeps the celebration deliberately inclusive so other communities take part. Over the puja days it serves a Mahabhog free lunch and dinner for more than 10,000 people daily, runs the traditional rituals with Anjali, Sandhi Puja and Sindur Khela, and stages cultural evenings of music, dance and drama; the same association holds Lakshmi Puja and Kali Puja at the premises later in the season.
