Lalbagh Independence Day Flower Show 2026

Lalbagh Botanical Garden's 220th Independence Day Flower Show runs for 12 days at the historic Glass House, themed 'The Glory of the Ganga Empire' in tribute to the Western Ganga dynasty that ruled parts of Karnataka from the 4th to 10th centuries. Prepared at a cost of around Rs 2.75 crore using more than 130 flower varieties sourced from India and abroad, the display includes an elaborate floral replica of the 1,300-year-old Begur Naganatheshwara Temple complex alongside seasonal fruit and vegetable exhibits. Open daily from 7am to 7pm, tickets cost Rs 80 on weekdays and Rs 100 on weekends for adults (children Rs 30, uniformed schoolchildren free); the garden is a short walk from Lalbagh Metro station on the Green Line.
