T. Nagar Ganesh Pandal – Usman Road Vinayagar Chaturthi

T. Nagar's Usman Road hosts what is widely regarded as Chennai's largest street Ganesh pandal, centred on a towering 40-foot eco-friendly Vinayagar idol crafted for the Vinayaka Chaturthi festival. The pandal stays open daily from 6 AM to 11 PM through the ten-day festival, drawing crowds from across the city to a commercial stretch better known for its sari shops and jewellery stores. Each evening between 6:30 and 9:30 PM the committee stages cultural programmes spotlighting Tamil Nadu's traditional art forms - classical dance, folk music and devotional singing - alongside a free annadanam meal served to roughly 5,000 people a day, reflecting the neighbourhood association's long-running community-service tradition around the festival.
