How recommendations work

We only look at books written for your child’s age or younger. “Just getting started” always begins at Book 1; “comfortable with the basics” begins no earlier than Book 2; “has tried some coding” no earlier than Book 4, the first programming book. Among those, we pick the book that covers the most of your child’s interests and is closest to their age. The learning path then follows the series order and flags books to grow into. These are guides to the series, not a reading or skills assessment.
